Swepco Plant Suit Heads To Ark. High Court Again

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 1:50 PM EST) -- The Arkansas Supreme Court is set to weigh in on certain elements of state law that apply to a federal lawsuit seeking to block Southwestern Electric Power Co.'s construction of a $1.7 billion coal-fired power plant due to environmental concerns.

The state high court said Thursday it had accepted certification of three questions of law posed by Judge William R. Wilson Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas in the suit.
