Supreme Court Upholds Stay On DADT Ban

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 1:37 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday denied a request by a gay rights group to reinstate an injunction barring the U.S. Department of Defense from enforcing its “don't ask, don't tell” policy.

The high court rejected the Log Cabin Republicans' application to vacate the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit's stay of the injunction while the government pursues an appeal of the ruling, which deemed the controversial policy unconstitutional.
