IBM Sued Over Data Cache Patent

Law360 (March 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Almost a year after settling patent infringement claims with Oracle Corp. over data processing patents, a Massachusetts software company has filed a suit against IBM Corp. over the same data caching technology.

In the suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, SuperSpeed LLC accuses IBM of infringing seven patents related to caching technology, which stores a copy of frequently accessed data in the memory of an individual computer that's using the data.
