Acquisition Officials Caught In Policy Bind: Survey

Law360, New York (November 16, 2010, 3:47 PM EST) -- Federal acquisition officials are facing increased pressure to implement federal contracting policy mandates that may conflict with or confuse the government's business goals — and a tougher oversight regime isn't making their decision-making process any easier, according to a new survey.

Grant Thornton LLP and the Professional Services Council on Monday released their biennial federal acquisition policy survey, based on a series of interviews with 33 federal officials representing a broad cross-section of federal contracting professionals, senior acquisition executives, congressional staffers and others.
