Alleged Military Smuggler Balks At Gov't Evidence

Law360, New York (November 16, 2010, 5:18 PM EST) -- Attorneys for alleged military hardware smuggler Chan Hok Shek are fighting to exclude from trial "irrelevant" evidence and government expert testimony they claim would unreasonably harm the defendant's case.

In a trial brief lodged Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Chan’s defense team argued that prosecutors sought to introduce testimony and materials intended to “inflame the jury” that otherwise have no place in the courtroom.
