Judge Slams Samsung With $566,000 In Sanctions In Mosaid Patent Suit

Law360, New York (September 3, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has ordered Samsung to pay Mosaid Technologies $566,000 in sanctions, chiding the Korean electronics maker for destroying and failing to produce evidence during discovery in a suit over patents for dynamic random access memory technology.

The financial sanctions imposed by New Jersey District Court Judge Ronald Hedges were in addition to two other sanctions requested by Mosaid against Samsung.
