AIG Dropped From Energy Co.'s $29M Enviro Fight

Law360, New York (November 17, 2010, 11:41 AM EST) -- Blount Energy Inc. and two other energy companies have agreed to dismiss American International Group Inc. from a $29 million suit accusing its insured Environmental Risk Solutions LLC of breaching contracts to clean contamination at dozens of service stations.

In a stipulation filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, Blount, Lehigh Gas Corp. and JTNY LLC agreed to dismiss AIG with prejudice and to dismiss AIG affiliate American International Specialty Lines Insurance Co. without prejudice.
