Ore. Child Advocate Gets US Attorney Nomination

Law360, New York (November 18, 2010, 12:52 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama has nominated the leader of Oregon's child advocacy division to serve as the U.S. attorney for the District of Oregon.

The White House announced Wednesday that S. Amanda Marshall, who is currently attorney in charge of the Child Advocacy Section of the Oregon Department of Justice, has been tapped for the U.S. attorney post.

Prior to her current position, Marshall was assistant attorney in charge of the section and the assistant attorney general from 2001 to 2008.
