Judge Preliminarily OKs $42M Micron Securities Deal

Law360, New York (November 19, 2010, 1:17 PM EST) -- A federal judge has given preliminary approval to a $42 million settlement between Micron Technology Inc. and a class of investors suing over stock losses stemming from the company's alleged participation in a dynamic random access memory chip price-fixing scheme.

Judge William F. Downes of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho signed the preliminary order Thursday and set a Feb. 2 settlement hearing.

The two sides submitted the settlement, which will see investors recover about 13 cents for every share of common stock...
