Claims Remain Dead In SGS Seat Belt Contract Suit

Law360, New York (November 22, 2010, 6:17 PM EST) -- A judge has denied a bid by SGS U.S. Testing Co. Inc. to revive contract and other claims trimmed from its suit seeking to recoup litigation expenses from seat belt maker Takata Corp.

In an order issued Wednesday, Judge Dennis M. Cavanaugh of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey said there was no evidence that the dismissal of claims of contract indemnification, breach of good faith and fair dealing, and promissory estoppel needed to be revisited.
