Law360, New York (November 19, 2010, 6:28 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation is seeking additional information from Virgin Blue Group and Delta Air Lines Inc. regarding their proposed trans-Pacific alliance, following its initial recommendation against granting the carriers' bid for antitrust immunity to coordinate flights between Australia and the U.S.
The agency said in an order issued Friday that further information on the carriers' alliance was necessary “to enable us to fully and fairly evaluate their proposed changes” to the merger.
