Judge Says HCC Policy Doesn't Cover Chopper Crash

Law360, New York (November 22, 2010, 7:18 PM EST) -- The federal judge overseeing multidistrict litigation concerning a 2008 helicopter crash in California has ruled in favor of insurer Houston Casualty Co. in a dispute with Carson Helicopters Inc., deciding that an endorsement with a $25 million liability limit did not provide coverage for the accident.

Judge Michael Mosman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon signed off on an opinion and order Thursday granting a bid from HCC for partial summary judgment.
