MoFo To Offset Taxes For Domestic-Partner Benefits

Law360, New York (November 22, 2010, 7:18 PM EST) -- Morrison & Foerster LLP will start offsetting the extra federal taxes that staff and nonpartner lawyers pay on benefits for their domestic partners, a new perk that will apply to both gay and straight domestic partnerships.

The firm confirmed to Law360 on Monday that the payments would begin in 2011 but did not immediately respond to a request for details on the payments; legal blog Above the Law first reported the new policy Friday.
