Feds Investigate Lead In Collectible Glasses

Law360, New York (November 22, 2010, 7:52 PM EST) -- Federal regulators launched an investigation Monday into lead in commemorative drinking glasses depicting comic book and movie characters after tests showed they contained elevated levels of the poisonous metal.

Paint on the glasses contained lead in levels up to 1,000 times the federal limit for children’s products and lesser amounts of the more toxic metal cadmium, according to testing commissioned by the Associated Press.
