SEC Settlement With Mak 1 Atty Over Fraud Gets OK

Law360, New York (November 23, 2010, 3:37 PM EST) -- A federal judge has approved a settlement that will see a San Diego attorney accused of helping Mak 1 Enterprises Group LLC and its owner defraud investors of millions through a currency trading Ponzi scheme pay a still-to-be-determined disgorgement and civil penalties.

Judge Roger T. Benitez of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Monday signed off on the settlement, which will also see Gustav George Bujkovsky barred from disseminating any investment-related materials unless a registration statement already exists.
