Disney Hit With Copyright Suit Over Internet Movies

Law360, New York (March 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A subsidiary of the Walt Disney Co. was hit with a copyright infringement and breach of contract suit Friday for allegedly selling movies for transmission over the Internet after it had already licensed the movies exclusively to a content provider.

The suit was filed by Starz Entertainment LLC against Buena Vista Television in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
