Nev. High Court Affirms $58M Award Against Wyeth

Law360, New York (November 24, 2010, 6:27 PM EST) -- Nevada’s high court on Wednesday upheld a nearly $58 million jury award to three women who suffered breast cancer after taking hormone replacements drugs made by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc.


The Nevada Supreme Court ruled that Arlene Rowatt, Pamela Forrester and Jeraldine Scofield — all of whom developed breast cancer after taking Premarin and Prempro — were entitled to the $57.8 million in damages they received in 2007.
