Granite Rock's State Law Case Against Teamsters Axed

Law360, New York (November 29, 2010, 6:01 PM EST) -- A federal judge has rejected Granite Rock Co.'s attempt to sue the International Brotherhood of Teamsters under California law, setting up the possibility for another appeal as the construction materials provider seeks to revive a tortious interference case the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on earlier this year.

Judge James Ware of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California issued an order Wednesday refusing Granite Rock's bid to remand the case to state court and granting the union's motion to dismiss the complaint....
