Judge Tosses Antitrust, IP Misuse Suit Against FASB

Law360, New York (November 29, 2010, 6:22 PM EST) -- A federal judge has thrown out Silicon Economics Inc.'s lawsuit accusing the U.S. Financial Accounting Standards Board of antitrust violations and misappropriation of intellectual property for lack of personal jurisdiction.

Judge Lucy H. Koh of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday dismissed the suit, ruling that the court could not exercise personal jurisdiction over the FASB, located in Connecticut, based on the facts presented in Silicon Economics's complaint.
