CIT Upholds Indian Stainless Steel Bar Duties

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 1:59 PM EST) -- A federal judge has upheld the final results of a U.S. Department of Commerce review of anti-dumping duties on stainless steel bar from India, throwing out a suit by a pair of domestic producers alleging the department’s dumping margin calculations were unjustified.

In a Nov. 23 order, Judge Judith Barzilay of the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled Carpenter Technology Corp. and Valbruna Slater Stainless Inc. failed to show that Commerce’s determinations weren’t supported by substantial evidence.
