Judge Grants St. Vincent Time To Win Favor

Law360, New York (March 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has given St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers an extension for soliciting approval of its reorganization and liquidation plan after an April hearing on its disclosure statement.

Judge Adlai S. Hardin Jr. of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday gave the bankrupt medical center until July 15 to solicit acceptance of the plan.

St. Vincent previously had until May 8 to solicit approval. The company filed its plan for reorganization and liquidation on February 9.
