Kirkland & Ellis Bills Solutia For Another $5M

Law360, New York (March 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The costs of Solutia Inc.’s bankruptcy continue to mount, with lead counsel Kirkland & Ellis applying for another $5 million in compensation, bringing the firm’s total fees to over $30 million.

In its sixth interim fee application, filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, Kirkland requested $4,813,634.50 in compensation to cover the period between August 1, 2006 and November 30, 2006.

The firm also applied for $497,559.75 in expense reimbursement.
