Univ. Of Wash. Targets GE Over Ultrasound Patent

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 1:02 PM EST) -- The University of Washington has accused General Electric Co. of infringing a patent for a method to integrate both two-dimensional and three-dimensional images in magnetic resonance and ultrasound devices.

The Seattle-based institution named GE and its subsidiary GE Healthcare Inc. as defendants in a complaint filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington by Ramsey M. Al-Salam, Tyler C. Peterson, Michelle M. Umberger and David E. Jones of Perkins Coie LLP.
