Obama Nominates Litigator For US Atty Post In Ark.

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 5:49 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama has nominated Christopher R. Thyer, a litigator and former member of Arkansas state government, to serve as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas.

Obama sent Thyer's name to the U.S. Senate on Wednesday. If cleared, he would replace Harry E. Cummins III, who resigned. He would serve a four-year term.
