Obama Makes Pick For 6th Circ., 7 Other Courts

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 3:53 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama has selected current U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee Judge Bernice Bouie Donald for a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, while nominating seven people to serve as federal district judges.

The White House announced Wednesday that Judge Donald, who has been a district court judge in Tennessee since 1995 and served as a federal bankruptcy court judge for seven years before that, had been nominated to the Cincinnati-based Sixth Circuit.
