Yahoo Japan-Google Deal Gets OK From JFTC

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 5:27 PM EST) -- Japan's Fair Trade Commission has given the green light to a planned search engine partnership between Yahoo Japan Corp. and Google Inc., but said it would keep watching the situation.

"The commission has judged that, at this point, it is not necessary to continue the investigation to take action with regard to antitrust rules," the regulator said in a statement.
