Facebook Hit With Database, Search Patent Suit

Law360 (December 2, 2010, 3:19 PM EST) -- Indacon Inc. has hit Facebook Inc. with an infringement suit accusing the social networking behemoth of violating two patents related to data acquisition and search functions.

According to a suit filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Indacon claims that Facebook infringes U.S. Patent Numbers 6,834,276 and 7,836,043, which are both titled, "Database system and method for data acquisition and perusal."
