Samsung and InterDigital Duel Over 3G Phones

Law360, New York (March 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- InterDigital Communications Corp. filed complaints with the U.S. International Trade Commission and in a federal court in Delaware on Friday against Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. for allegedly infringing three patents for 3G cellular phone handsets.

Samsung fought back the same day, filing a federal suit in Delaware against InterDigital for allegedly refusing to license its technology.

InterDigital accused the Korean technology giant of engaging in an unfair trade practice by importing and selling certain 3G. or third generation, handsets and components that infringe three InterDigital patents....
