Tronox Allows $2.8M Enviro Claim Over NM Mine

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 8:35 PM EST) -- Bankrupt pigment maker Tronox Inc. has agreed to allow a $2.8 million environmental claim by General Electric Co. and United Nuclear Corp., ending a dispute over cleanup costs at a New Mexico mine.

The agreement, entered Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, allows Tronox to wipe out three other claims by the two companies, limiting an alleged liability of more than $60 million.
