FTC To Keep An Eye On Google, Staffer Says

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 8:19 PM EST) -- A Federal Trade Commission staffer has said the agency will continue monitoring Google Inc. to determine if its behavior violates U.S. competition law, but was lukewarm about the possibility of taking action.

“You may well see something soon from the U.S. agencies, but I can't promise anything,” Melanie Sabo, assistant director for anticompetitive practices at the FTC's Bureau of Competition said Wednesday in Washington at a conference called “the Future of Online Consumer Protection.”
