108% Markup Stays On Chinese Petroleum Wax Candles

Law360 (December 6, 2010, 2:01 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has determined that revoking the existing 108 percent markup on petroleum wax candles from China would hurt domestic producers, in a move that keeps a long-standing anti-dumping duty order in place.

Six commissioners made the decision Friday in a unanimous vote, ending the latest five-year sunset review process.

In November the U.S. International Trade Administration ruled that a revocation of the duty order would lead to a recurrence of dumping, leaving it to the ITC to make a determination on injury....
