Tribune Creditors File Suits Against Execs, Seek $180M

Law360, New York (December 6, 2010, 8:47 PM EST) -- Tribune Company’s unsecured creditors committee has filed a multitude of lawsuits in bankruptcy court seeking to void $180 million in allegedly preferential payments the company made immediately prior to its bankruptcy, including many to Tribune insiders.

The largest of the suits against an individual defendant looks to claw back $28.7 million from Tribune ex-CEO Dennis J. Fitzsimons, according to a compliant filed Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
