Disney, Others Triumph In Toon Counterfeit Suit

Law360, New York (December 8, 2010, 8:41 PM EST) -- A federal judge has awarded a $375,000 judgment to a Walt Disney Co. unit, Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., The Cartoon Network LP and Sanrio Co. Ltd. in a five-year-old suit against Deer City USA LLC, a Florida retailer accused of repeatedly infringing copyrights for popular cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny and Hello Kitty.
