Senate Votes To Remove Porteous From Federal Bench

Law360, New York (December 8, 2010, 12:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. Senate voted on Wednesday to convict U.S. District Judge G. Thomas Porteous Jr. on four articles of impeachment ranging from corruption to lying to federal officials, making the Louisiana judge the eighth to ever be removed from the federal bench by impeachment.
