Energizer Faces Suit Over Expired LED Patent

Law360, New York (December 8, 2010, 7:37 PM EST) -- Energizer Holdings Inc. has been hit with a qui tam suit that accuses the St. Louis-based company of falsely marking two of its light-emitting diode products with an expired patent.

Texas-based GHJ Holdings LLC filed the suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that Energizer marked its aluminum 1-watt LED light and 2-LED headlight with a patent that expired in August.
