JFTC Probes DeNA Over Mobile Gaming Trade Practices

Law360, New York (December 8, 2010, 3:48 PM EST) -- Japan's antitrust watchdog raided DeNA Co. Ltd. on Wednesday based on suspicions that the online social gaming company had engaged in unfair trade practices.

The Japanese Fair Trade Commission visited DeNA's headquarters while launching its investigation of the company, which became the world's biggest producer of mobile games with its October purchase of video game maker Ngmoco Inc., DeNA confirmed Wednesday.

The company said it was willing to cooperate fully with the regulator's investigation.
