ITA Hits Taiwanese Cos. With 4.3% Duty On Steel Sheet

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 2:12 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has hit 18 Taiwanese companies that make stainless steel sheet and strip in coils, or export it to the U.S., with a 4.3 percent anti-dumping duty, but has determined that mandatory respondent Chia Far Industrial Factory Co. Ltd. did not sell below fair value and has given that company a free pass.

Notice of the markups, for entries from July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2009, was posted in the Federal Register Thursday by Commerce's International Trade Administration.
