2 Accused In Sequenom, EXAS Insider Trading Case

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 3:45 PM EST) -- Two men who purportedly used a patent agent's material, nonpublic information about molecular diagnostics companies Sequenom Inc. and Exact Sciences Corp. to pull in more than $600,000 in ill-gotten gains have been hit with parallel criminal and civil allegations of insider trading.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filed its complaint against Brett A. Cohen and David V. Meyers in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Wednesday, seeking permanent injunctions, civil penalties, disgorgement and interest.
