Toyota Can't Shake Tundra Rollover Damages Claim

Law360, New York (December 13, 2010, 6:21 PM EST) -- A federal judge has rejected Toyota Motor Corp.'s bid for summary judgment on exemplary damages in a lawsuit alleging that the 2000 Toyota Tundra was defectively designed with respect to crashworthiness in a rollover accident.

Judge M. Christina Armijo of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico on Sunday denied Toyota's motion for summary judgment, finding that the Japanese automaker had not referred the court to even a single piece of evidence in support of its motion.
