International Paper Can't Shake PCB Pollution Suit

Law360, New York (December 13, 2010, 3:04 PM EST) -- A federal judge has shot down International Paper Co.'s attempt to toss a lawsuit filed by Stimson Lumber Co. seeking to force the paper company to help clean up polychlorinated biphenyl contamination at a century-old Montana sawmill it used to own.

Judge Donald W. Molloy of the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana said on Friday that he would adopt Magistrate Judge Jeremiah Lynch's report and recommendations that the suit should not be dismissed.
