Goldman Appeals Loss In $21M Bayou Arbitration Case

Law360 (December 14, 2010, 1:25 PM EST) -- Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has put up a multimillion-dollar bond and said it is appealing a decision by a lower court judge that kept alive a $20.6 million arbitration award granted to unsecured creditors of the now-defunct hedge fund Bayou Group LLC.

In seeking to take its case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Goldman posted a $22.8 million bond — the amount of the judgment plus interests and costs — and filed a notice of appeal on Monday in the U.S....
