Korean Steel Cos. Dumped Pipe In US, ITA Says

Law360, New York (December 14, 2010, 4:42 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has found that South Korean steelmakers sold welded pipe at prices below the market rate, likely justifying anti-dumping duties for a period currently under review by the International Trade Administration.

On Tuesday, Commerce’s ITA announced the preliminary results of an anti-dumping review of the Korean steel sector in the Federal Register, finding that five of the six respondents charged less than fair value for shipments of circular welded non-alloy steel pipe between November 1, 2008, and October 31, 2009.
