Eldorado Forest Road Protections Survive Challenge

Law360, New York (December 16, 2010, 2:59 PM EST) -- A national miners group has lost its bid to allow driving on restricted Eldorado National Forest roads without permission from the U.S. Forest Service, with a federal judge finding that the group lacked standing and failed to state a claim.

Senior Judge Lawrence K. Karlton on Tuesday dismissed with prejudice Public Lands for the People Inc.'s challenge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California to the U.S. Forest Service's 2008 Travel Management Plan for the Eldorado National Forest.
