Ex-Detroit Mayor Faces New Batch Of Criminal Charges

Law360, New York (December 15, 2010, 8:15 PM EST) -- Federal prosecutors unveiled new charges Wednesday against ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and four of his associates, alleging that they committed extortion, bribery and fraud in the award of municipal contracts.

The 38-count indictment, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, supersedes charges that were handed down this June.
