Maine May Be Next To Ban BPA In Child Drink Containers

Law360, New York (December 20, 2010, 4:25 PM EST) -- Maine regulators have added bisphenol A to the state's list of toxic chemicals, paving the way for the state to become the ninth in the U.S. to ban the substance from plastic baby bottles and toddler cups.

The state's Board of Environmental Protection on Thursday designated BPA — along with nonylphenol and nonylphenol ethoxylates — as the state's first priority chemicals under the 2008 Kid-Safe Products Law.
