Energy Department Freezes Contractor Pay For 2 Years

Law360 (December 20, 2010, 7:35 PM EST) -- Following the lead set by President Barack Obama in late November, the U.S. Department of Energy announced it would freeze salary and bonuses for contract site and facility management workers for two years.

In an announcement Friday, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu said the wage and bonus freeze was part of a governmentwide effort to tighten belts and trim budgets.
