Ex-NY State Fair Director Charged With Corruption

Law360, New York (December 20, 2010, 7:50 PM EST) -- New York officials on Monday arrested former New York State Fair Director Peter Cappuccilli Jr. on allegations that he exploited his position for personal gains, including improper discounts for two of his daughters' weddings and annual holiday parties held on fair grounds.

The felony complaint lodged by the New York State Office of the Attorney General in Geddes Town Court charges Cappuccilli, who was fair director from his appointment in 1995 until his resignation in 2005, with one count of grand larceny in the third degree,...
