Wyeth Beats W.Va. Fraud Suit Over Hormone Drugs

Law360, New York (December 21, 2010, 3:43 PM EST) -- West Virginia's high court has sided with Pfizer Inc. subsidiary Wyeth in a putative class action over the company's marketing of hormone replacement therapy drugs.

In a decision issued Friday, the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals ruled that that the state's consumer protection law required that plaintiffs show proof they relied on misrepresentative materials in order to establish a cause of action.
