Law360, New York (December 21, 2010, 7:16 PM EST) -- A Texas jury has awarded $5.8 million to a white former employee of El Paso Electric Co. who alleged that the company unfairly fired him in order to better defend itself against a discrimination complaint filed by a Hispanic human resources manager.
