Suit Says Tennis Tour Plan Is Anti-Competitive

Law360, New York (March 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A small German tennis organization has flung a lawsuit at men's professional tennis association ATP Tour Inc., alleging that its plan to reconfigure the tournament system is an anti-competitive strategy designed to block competitors.

The German Tennis Federation, the nonprofit which sponsors the 100-plus-year-old Hamburg Masters tournament, on Thursday asked a Delaware federal judge to stop ATP from forming a cartel that would demote the tournament.
